Valedictory Ceremony

Indian School Sur solemnised its Valedictory Ceremony for its outgoing batch of grade XII students at a grandiose occasion here at school premises on Monday evening, the 17th February, 2020. Mr. Mohammed Ameen, the President, School Management Committee, Dr. S Srinivasan, the Principal, Mr. Mohammed Nassar, the Convener , Mr. G K Pillai, the Treasurer and other esteemed members of SMC, Heads of Departments, Co-ordinators , teachers and parents of grade XII students graced the occasion with their august presence. The proud and happy graduating grade XII students along with the President, Principal and other esteemed members of SMC clad in their ceremonial graduation gowns walked down the stunning valediction venue. The elegantly decked up hall turned out to be an arena to shower blessings upon the young students who are groomed and set to emerge out of the portals of the school. The ceremony began with a prayer. Mrs. Pushkala accorded a cordial welcome to the august gathering. To add more solemnity, the auspicious lighting of the lamp was done by the President, Principal & other members of the School Management Committee The centre of attraction was the auspicious Candle Lighting Ceremony where in students from their beloved Principal lighted candles, symbolic of wisdom that dispels ignorance. Meanwhile Mrs .Sarala Babu, the class teacher of grade XII read out citations. A melodious ‘felicitation song’ by the teachers added charm and beauty to the occasion. Mr Madhupalan , a senior teacher advised the students to value the guidance of their parents . Mr.Jaleel spoke on the learning strategies and the Vice Principal Mrs Maria Thomas reminded the students to imbibe the traits of a flowing river to be happy individuals. Representing the parents Mr Khalid, Mr Mubarak and Mrs Dimple motivated the students with encouraging words and thanked the faculty and the school authorities for the healthy environment provided at school. With a sense of pride, the student representatives Miss. Ananya, Miss. Diya , Miss. Zubaida, Miss. Arfah and Mast. Dhairya Srivastava thanked the teachers for the love and care bestowed upon them along with the careful grooming. Dr S. Srinivasan , the Principal of the school gave the students tips on preparing for the examination. Mr Mohammed Ameen gave the students advice on handling the hurdles in life and achieving success .He also felicitated the out-going students with mementos and citations. Dr.Sujatha, faculty, Science proposed vote of thanks. She expressed her profuse gratitude to the President and members of SMC, Principal, Vice principal, teachers, parents and students of class XII for their graceful presence on the solemn occasion. It was an added attraction and a treat to the audience to see the young valedictorians leaving the hall with their parents escorting them. The ceremony came to an end with light refreshment.
