76th Republic Day Celebration

Indian School Sur commemorated the 76th Republic Day of India on January 26, 2025, with a vibrant and meticulously organized celebration, reflecting the spirit of patriotism and the cultural diversity of India. The event featured enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and distinguished members of the School Management Committee. The programme commenced with a heartfelt welcome and a moving prayer song invoking blessings. The hall resounded with pride as the audience stood for the Indian National Anthem, setting the tone for the day’s festivities. The Republic Day address, delivered in English, highlighted the significance of the Constitution of India and the progress the nation has made since its inception. The speech emphasized the values of unity, equality, and democracy, inspiring the young audience to contribute positively to society.

 

The cultural segment commenced with “Melodies of Patriotism,” where students performed a patriotic song, evoking a sense of pride and unity. This was followed by “Rhythms of India,” a mesmerizing dance performance celebrating the cultural heritage of India. In the segment titled “Voices of Patriotism,” students recited powerful Hindi poems, leaving the audience in awe of their talent and passion. A significant highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony. Certificates were presented to achievers of the Indian School Talent Fest, Cluster Nationals, and Ambassadors Mon Avis Debate Challenge. The awards recognized students’ excellence in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities, symbolizing the school’s commitment to nurturing holistic growth. The celebration also featured a thought-provoking street play titled Spotlight on Change, which focused on the importance of women’s empowerment. The performance was well-received, resonating deeply with the audience and igniting conversations on gender equality.

 

The program concluded with the school anthem, leaving attendees with a sense of pride and belonging. Mr. Jami Srinivas Rao, President, Mr. Pradeep Kumar, A V, Adv. Saeed T P, Mr. Shabeeb Mohammed, Mr. Pramod Velayudhan Nair, members School Management Committee and Dr. S Srinivasan, Principal—graced the occasion and presented certificates to the prize winners. The presence of the eminent dignitaries added encouragement and underscored the importance of fostering excellence among students.
