WKMUN 2023-24

Indian School Wadi Kabir hosted the WKMUN event in celebration of United Nations Day. Four students from our institution participated in this two-day program, which saw a total of thirteen schools taking part. Notably, Miss. Shivanee Senthil Kumar from class IX B received the distinguished Best Researcher Award, which included a Certificate and Memento. The other participants from our school included Mast. Srihari Pradeep, Mast. Eshant Kumar, and Miss. Maria Romany.

This event provided a valuable learning experience for the students, offering them insight into the procedural intricacies of the UN General Assembly in adopting resolutions. Each student was assigned a country and tasked with submitting a research paper addressing the theme, ‘Redefining the Future of Outer Space.’ Following their presentations, students were organized into geopolitical groups for spirited debates on the assigned topic. Ultimately, they collaborated to adopt a resolution pertaining to space debris management.
