Teacher Training Session on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

A one-day Teacher Training Programme on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence organised by Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman was conducted at Indian School Sur on Thursday, 30 July 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Innovation Lab. The programme aimed to equip teachers with the practical knowledge, technical competencies and implementation skills required to integrate STEAM, STEM, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, AI Connect, STEMROBO LMS, RoboGenius resources and 3D printing into the teaching-learning process.

The resource person for the programme was Mr. Wasif Daniyal, Operations Manager, STEMROBO Technologies, Middle East. He was jointly welcomed with a bouquet by the Principal, Mr. Parveen Kumar, and the Vice Principal, Mr. Biju Mathew. Mrs. Jeny Prakash, PGT–Computer Science, delivered the welcome address and formally introduced the resource person to the gathering.

The training followed a practical, hands-on and implementation-oriented approach. It commenced with an overview of STEMROBO Technologies and its educational initiatives. The participants were introduced to various components and emerging technologies, including the STEM and Robotics ecosystem, AI Connect, RoboGenius resources, Learning Management Systems and 3D printing.

The programme included guided demonstrations and practical sessions on component identification, equipment setup, 3D printer assembly, calibration, filament loading, software connectivity, model preparation, slicing and test printing. Teachers also explored the STEMROBO LMS and AI Connect platform, including digital learning resources, lesson plans, coding and programming materials, project-based learning activities and reporting tools. Training in Tinkercad, assembly and design printing was also provided.

During the hands-on STEM and Robotics sessions, the teachers worked with selected STEMROBO kits and gained experience in component assembly, programming, electronics, sensors and project execution.

The programme concluded with a final review, clarification of queries and a discussion on action points, laboratory readiness, responsibilities, support mechanisms and future implementation. The training proved highly informative and enabled the teachers to develop greater confidence in incorporating innovative technologies into classroom practices.

As a token of appreciation and gratitude, Mr. Wasif Daniyal was honoured with a memento. Mrs. Hridya Hareesh, TGT–Computer Science, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to the resource person, the school leadership and all the participants for contributing to the successful conduct of the programme.
