Valedictory Ceremony 2026
The Valedictory Ceremony of Class XII (2025–26) was held with great dignity and warmth on Friday, 30th January 2026, in the New Multipurpose Hall of Indian School Sur. The programme marked a memorable milestone in the academic journey of the graduating students, celebrating both their achievements and the beginning of a new phase in their lives
.The ceremony commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Mr. Krishnendu, Director – BOD and Director-in-Charge, Indian School Sur, and the Guest of Honour, Mr. Mohammed Majid Ahmed Al Salti, Training Supervisor, National Training Institute, Muscat, along with the members of the School Management Committee, the Principal, teachers, parents, and the graduating students. This was followed by a short safety protocol video presentation.
The formal proceedings began with the invocation of divine blessings through the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, accompanied by a prayer song. The National Anthem of Oman followed by the National Anthem of India was rendered, reflecting respect for both the host country and the motherland.
The Welcome Address was delivered by the Head of the English Department Mrs. Priya T K , who extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students. One of the most symbolic moments of the evening was the lighting of candles by the students, signifying the passing of responsibility, hope, and values as they prepared to step into the wider world. This was accompanied by the reading of citations highlighting the academic, co-curricular, and personal achievements of each student.
A blessing song by the teachers added emotional depth to the occasion, followed by group photographs with the dignitaries, Principal, and teachers.
The audience was then addressed by the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honour, the President of the School Management Committee, and the Principal, each of whom shared inspiring words, guidance, and encouragement for the graduates as they embark on their future endeavours.
The programme also featured student speeches, where representatives from Class XII shared heartfelt reflections on their school life, expressing gratitude towards teachers, parents, and the institution. A teacher’s address and a parent’s speech further enriched the programme, offering blessings, pride, and emotional support to the graduating batch.
The most awaited segment of the evening, the Memento Distribution Ceremony, followed, during which all Class XII students of Sections A and B were presented with mementoes as a token of love and remembrance from the Indian School Sur family. This was followed by the felicitation of the Guest of Honour and the Chief Guest in recognition of their presence and support.
The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to the dignitaries, management, Principal, teachers, parents, students, and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme. The evening ended on a joyful note with dinner arranged for all.
The Valedictory Ceremony was a meaningful and emotional farewell, celebrating the achievements, memories, and aspirations of the Class of 2025–26, and it will remain a cherished moment in the history of Indian School Sur
