MOCK UN

The Social Science Department of Indian School Sur organised a Mock UN (ISSUR MUN) on Tuesday, 25.10.2022. The purpose of this event was to create awareness among the students about the excellent organisation, The United Nations and to understand the meaning of delegation. The programme also helps the students to develop the art of public speaking. The students of classes VII to X participated in the event. Twenty-two students participated in two categories- juniors- classes VII & VII and seniors- classes IX & X. The delegates from different countries presented a speech for 2.5 minutes on the topic “Reducing inequalities- Improving growth in the least developed countries”. Students were judged on the criteria of content, expression, clarity, fluency and overall presentation. The competition was judged by Mr. Erin Yard, lecturer at the Sur University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Ms. Kerissa, lecturer at the Sur University of Technology and Applied Sciences and Mr. Pradeep HoD English at  Indian School Sur.
