KG Graduation Ceremony

Indian School Sur celebrated a momentous occasion on the 7th of March 2024, as it bid farewell to its outgoing batch of UKG students from the academic year 2023-2024. The ceremony was a delightful amalgamation of joy, pride, and nostalgia, marking the end of a significant chapter in the lives of these young learners. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Yusra Al Khilani, President Omani Women Association Sur, along with the guest of honour, Mrs. Intisar, Service Manager, Bank Muscat, Sur, School Management President Mr. Jami Srinivas Rao, Mrs. Nishreen Basheer, Member SMC and Principal Dr. S Srinivasan graced the occasion with their presence, inspiring the young graduates with their words of wisdom and encouragement. The event commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by Miss Nivedha of UKG B, setting the tone for the day’s festivities. Following this, the traditional lighting of the lamp symbolized the illumination of knowledge and wisdom, guiding the children towards a bright future.

Chief Guest, Mrs. Yusra Al Khilani, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the young graduates for the triumphant culmination of their kindergarten journey. In her eloquent address, Mrs. Al Khilani poignantly expressed that children represent the invaluable wealth of a community, urging all present to cherish and embrace them, holding these precious young minds close to their hearts. Principal Dr. S. Srinivasan commended the teachers for their extraordinary dedication in nurturing the tender buds into full bloom. Furthermore, he congratulated the students, offering sincere wishes for a luminous and prosperous future ahead. In recognizing the collaborative efforts of both teachers and students, Dr. Srinivasan underscored the transformative impact of quality education in fostering growth and excellence.

The air was filled with exuberance as the LKG students performed the popular “Baby Shark” action song, showcasing their enthusiasm and energy. Mrs. Nusrath Shoukath, the KG & Primary in charge, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of nurturing young minds and laying a strong foundation for their academic journey ahead. The entertainment quotient soared higher with a captivating mash-up dance performance by the UKG students, leaving the audience in awe of their talent and coordination. The adorable expressions of the students during various segments, including the action songs “Roll Your Hands” by LKG and “One Little Finger” by UKG, melted everyone’s hearts and garnered thunderous applause.

As the graduation ceremony for UKG A unfolded, emotions ran high, marking the culmination of the students’ journey through kindergarten. Parents were visibly moved as they witnessed their little ones receive certificates and accolades, celebrating their achievements and milestones. The cultural extravaganza continued with a lively rendition of the dance number “Bum Bum Bole” by the LKG students, adding vibrancy and rhythm to the event.  A special moment of honor was reserved for Mrs. Yusra Al Khilani, President Omani Women Association Sur, as she was felicitated for her exemplary contribution to society. The transition to Grade 1 was commemorated with a captivating dance performance by Class 2, welcoming the students to their next phase of academic pursuit. In closing, Aayda Shamshad Khan of UKG A extended a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all individuals who contributed to the success of the event. The Kindergarten Graduation Day at Indian School Sur was indeed a memorable affair, brimming with pride, nostalgia, and a promise of bright futures ahead.
